Uncertainty
The parameter, associated with the result of determining a quantity, that characterizes the dispersion of values that could reasonably be attributed to the particular quantity, incorporating the effects of systematic as well as of random factors and expressed in percentage form and defining a confidence interval around the mean value comprising 95% of inferred values taking into account any asymmetry in the distribution of values.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
The UNFCCC was established 1992 at the Rio Earth Summit. It is the overall framework guiding the international climate negotiations. Its main objective is “stabilisation of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level hat would prevent dangerous anthropogenic (manmade) interference with the climate system”.
