The Greenhouse Gas Emissions associated to Ecoprogresso© activity in 2007, following the GHG protocol standard, was 15 t CO2e (scopes 1 and 2). The emissions associated to the production of electricity acquired (scope 2) both in the office and in the common areas of the office building represent 58%. The emissions relating to travel in Ecoprogresso© own vehicle fleet (scope 1) represent the remaining 42%.
Figure 1 below shows the evolution of Ecoprogresso’s Carbon Footprint associated to its activities for the period between 2004 to 2007 relating to direct and indirect emissions.
In relation to the GHG emissions reported voluntarily (Scope 3); the tendency has been a steady increase, directly associated to an increase in the number of airline voyages associated to the augmented activities of Ecoprogresso. In 2007, the emissions associated to this source of indirect emissions was around 221 tCO2e, corresponding to an increase of around 148% for the year of 2006.
